Brilliant experience for everyone whether or not one’s a rum person. Darren is a wonderful host with an endless knowledge about their procedures, products, and how to make quality drinks. Doing all this with such enthusiasm and high spirit (pun intended) one cannot help but falls in love with the place. It’s simply a must see experience.
🍹 Alcohol has always been a part of our lives; we enjoyed drinking it but never really knew how it was actually made. That changed when we visited DropWorks Rum Distillery, and the experience was truly eye-opening! 🤩 📅 We booked our appointment online and arrived about 10 minutes early. To our surprise, we were warmly welcomed by Darren, who was waiting for us right at the entrance. From the very start, his hospitality made us feel comfortable. 🏭 The distillery itself may be compact, but the equipment looked modern, clean, and very well maintained. We were offered a refreshing welcome drink 🍸 to start the session. Darren also responsibly asked who among us was driving 🚗 a thoughtful touch that showed great care. 🎓 The tour was incredibly informative. Darren explained the entire rum-making process in detail: from the base ingredients, fermentation, and flavor infusion, to the aging process and beyond. We discovered so many fascinating facts about rum and spirits that we had never known before. 😋 The best part? Tasting the different DropWorks rum flavors each one unique, rich, and absolutely delicious! ✨ Overall, it was an exciting, educational, and enjoyable day. I bought my Dad a distillery tour as a gift and fun Dad-daughter experience and it didn’t disappoint. Darren, our guide, was relaxed and knowledgeable and a fantastic host. The tour started in the bar, then we were walked through the whole process and got to try their five different rums as we went around. No tiny tasting measures here - take a designated driver, or accept the offer to take them home for later! The time flew by and we were there far longer than the advertised tour length. No pressure to buy anything at the end, but you’ll want to! A great experience, and delicious rums too.
We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and of course the rum. Darren the guide was excellent, very knowledgeable but also funny, making the time there fly by. I would definitely recommend paying them a visit, and while you’re there you might as well take a bottle or 2 home with you.
